My son, Tyler is a key member of our team. Tyler graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor degree in Animal Science in December, 2010. Tyler has concentrated on exotic animals and his studies include psittacines (parrots), all primates, and other exotics. During his studies at Cornell he gained firsthand experience working with Horses, Goats, Sheep, Pigs, Cows (Beef and Dairy), Chickens, Raptors, Snakes, Frogs/Toads, Mice and Rats.
Tyler also had the unique experience of volunteering for the Cheetah Conservation Fund for one summer in Namibia, Africa. During his experience Tyler had the opportunity to work with and study Cheetahs, Giraffes, and the African Wild Cat and did sighting studies of Elephants, Leopards, Rhinos, Wart Hogs, Jackals, Kudus, snakes (Black Mambas & Zebra snakes) and many other animals. In addition, Tyler has worked with Wolves and Anatolian Shepherd Guard Dogs.
While we do not expect to see many of these animals in the local area, we believe his education and experience will be valuable with all animals and definitely for anyone that does have an exotic pet.
Of course, along with these experiences, Tyler has grown up around dogs and cats all of his life, so he is also very comfortable with domestic pets.
Another key member is David Ryan. Dave has been with us from the beginning, has had animals all of his life, and is simply wonderful! He is a huge asset to the business and we are happy to have him!
